In February 2008, software encryption companies around the world were caught off guard when Princeton researchers announced their findings on security flaws in hard-disk encryption.

This was big news, especially to the large security organisations that pride themselves in protecting sensitive and important data by keeping the encryption keys safe from any intrusion and theft. Not only did this discovery weaken users’ security, it lso reminds everyone of the importance of keeping up to date with evolving threats.

In this issue, you will find out how you can defend against the attacks presented in the Princeton study, through the use of our high end hardware encryption products, the CompuSec® HSM and CompuSec® Mobile.
