LIMITATIONS OF FREE COMPUSEC® LINUX VERSION
1.0 FREE CompuSec® for Linux consists of one single archive (compressed TAR archive), which contains the FREE CompuSec® Linux loader as well as the software for all supported versions.
2.0 The package contains only binary files; no source code is available.
3.0 The package contains the encryption driver as Linux kernel module and the FREE CompuSec® Linux installation and administration utility.
4.0 The driver is compiled for a limited set of Linux distributions. (Please see below for the supported distributions).
5.0 The driver is based on Linux kernel version 2.4 or 2.6, which belongs to the supported distributions. (Please see below for the supported distributions) Please note that the driver will not work on the installed kernel that has been customized.
6.0 The disk encryption is compatible to the Windows version. Therefore, FREE CompuSec® can be used on machines with both Windows and Linux OS installed in the same system.
7.0 The FREE CompuSec® PC Security Suite (Linux version) supports the following Linux distributions:

INSTALLATION PROCEDURES
To install FREE CompuSec® Linux version, follow the following steps:
Step 1: Check if your system is supported for FREE CompuSec® Linux usage. If your system is supported for
FREE CompuSec® Linux usage, please continue with the following steps.
Step 2: Download the FREE CompuSec® Linux archive.
Step 3: Unpack the archive (FREE_CompuSec_Linux.tgz).
The directory “cs_inst” will be automatically created during the unpacking procedure.
Step 4: Open the "README" file in the “cs_inst” directory and follow the instructions to install the
Software.
