The CompuSec® Bio is a biometric security suite for personal computers that provides Access Control, Hard Disk Encryption, Email Security, VPN Client, File and Media Encryption, and Single Sign On. Integrating a fingerprint scanner with a built-in smart card reader, the biometric security suite achieves a higher level of security protection with greater convenience for users. For critical business processes, a BioClick is used to initiate trustful transactions through a touch of the finger scanner for a half-second authentication of authorized personnel. The CompuSec security features used in the solution provide functionalities previously unknown to PC security products, such as Pre-boot access to the fingerprint scanner, the use of PKI technology before a system boots, and support for Hibernation mode.
